Overall lettering length varies depending on font style chosen. Business name will measure approximately 2" tall. USDOT numbers will measure 2" tall.

What can I apply a vinyl decal to?

Our USDOT vinyl decals and commercial fleet lettering can be applied to metal, glass, plastic, and most other smooth surfaces including:

• Vehicle doors (most popular*)
• Car and truck windows

*Vinyl decal stickers are designed to be applied to the OUTSIDE of your vehicle (window or door). We can cut them for inside application, please call or text before ordering.

Each of our vinyl decals is made of high-performance, 2.5 mil calendared adhesive vinyl film, designed to last outdoors for 6+ years (4 years for metallic colors).

How do I install USDOT number vinyl decals?

Vinyl lettering arrives to you pre-spaced on a paper liner. Installing your decal is 4 step process (see Installation tab above). First clean the smooth non-porous surface you are applying the vinyl lettering/decal to. Second, tape the vinyl decal along the top. Third, flip over the decal and slowly remove the paper backing. Rub the lettering/decal and carefully remove the transfer tape.

How are your vinyl decals made?

Our vinyl lettering and vinyl decals are cut on a computer driven commercial grade plotter. After the cutter cuts the vinyl, we hand weed out any excess material and then apply a transfer tape.

Every vinyl decal is handmade in our office located in Western Kentucky. We cut, hand weed and tape each individual decal after your order is received. Our vinyl decals are made using vinyl material and application tapes that are made in the USA.

Choosing a color for your USDOT vinyl numbers

To ensure visibility, the lettering of the USDOT number must stand out from the background color. US DOT numbers should be printed in colors that contrast with the background: black on white, white on black, light color on a dark background, dark color on a light background, etc.

Our vinyl lettering and vinyl decals do not have a background color. Whatever you place the lettering/decal on becomes the background. If you select red as the color, all of the wording and/or images will be red. Please note that we do not recommend black for tinted windows.

All orders are shipped by USPS Priority Mail which includes tracking.

Actual delivery time is dependent upon carrier-based circumstances and is not guaranteed by Allstar Vinyl Signs. All packages marked Delivered by the USPS will be considered delivered. We accept no responsibility for any lost or stolen packages after they are delivered by your local postal carrier.

We do not currently ship internationally. We do not ship COD or bill to third parties.

We encourage you to inspect your order immediately upon it's delivery. If a piece of your order is missing or incorrect, please contact us WITHIN 3 DAYS so that we may quickly correct the issue.

Are items returnable if I change my mind?

We are sorry, all items are custom cut and hand weeded to order. No returns are accepted.
